Hello everyone,
I'm back; and raring to go! I just returned from a mission trip to Alabama. We were there 6 days which involved working with our sister state in the Southern Baptist Convention, by painting, carpentry, flooring, and preaching in several different church's and retired pastor's homes.
It was a blessing from start to finish. Why? Because we were serving the Lord as the Lord served us while He was here on earth. Servant evangelism is something that we can all do. Whether in Alabama or across the street. It doesn't cost anything but your time and energy.
It is also a blessing due to the fact that you can include anyone with you; saved or not saved, and what a great time to tell them about the greatest servant that ever lived, Jesus Christ.
Servant evangelism is also a blessing because you can watch God grow individuals in their faith and trust of God.
Have you tried it? Would you like to try it? Just pray and allow God to guide you to someone in your own neighborhood or town that may need help and show the gospel through your hands and feet. (If you need help finding someone, come see me at church and I'll fix you up with someone real fast).
We here in N.E. Mi. are looking forward to working and helping one another between here and Alabama for many years to come.
As they will be coming up in July to help our church and the church in Oscoda (Huron Baptist) with VBS (Vacation Bible School) and just hang out and fellowship with one another for the week of 3-10.
Well, enough of listening to me, go out and be a servant in the name of Jesus yourself today and be blessed.
love/peace/from pm.
